ABOUT
Oona Maeve is the alter ego of Belgian vocalist and songwriter Lien Schoonis, whose love for music began at a young age. Drawn first to the world of pop, she was captivated by catchy melodies, poetic lyrics, and uplifting atmospheres.
Her path later led to jazz, where she discovered improvisation and emotional depth. Lien went on to study jazz vocals at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, weaving these influences into her own music and finding a sound that blurs the line between genres.
As Oona Maeve, she embraces duality — introverted yet extroverted, dreamy yet fiery, intimate yet expansive. Her songs balance softness and strength, exploring the beauty in contrast: small stories that feel grand, harmonies that shimmer, and melodies that linger.
